Explore the Upside
There is not one ounce of excess weight on our bikes. Every
inch of tubing and every weld makes them remarkably stiff
and efficient. With up to 5" of travel, our full-suspension
bikes, hardtails and rigid-fork bikes are unbelievably smooth
and fast - uphill, downhill or on the flats. Just point
and pedal.
Our light bikes are not for lightweights.
All Brodie bikes are meant to be pushed well beyond normal
limits - so when we build a light bike, we never comprimise
on stiffness and fit of the tubing, or the dependability
of its components. Perhaps it's from our history in hand
building custom framesets from the original mountainbikers
of the Pacific Northwest, but we don't like walking home.
And we build our bikes accordingly.
We have continued to refine our full lineup of light bikes,
adding SPV shocks to Sauce and an oil-damped fork to the
Bandit. We've also reengineered the geometry of the Marathon
Series, not that you'd be able to tell by looking at it.
But out of the saddle, the benefit of its stiffer rear stays
would become more obvious.
This year, we've also turned our attention to an area of
riding so far neglected by modern technology. The los-tech
cruiser has gotten the full-on upgrade, including disc brakes,
a lightweight frame, low-maintenance chain guard, and internal
hub gears in 3 & 8 - speed configurations. Allo told,
