The training wheels are gathering dust in a box somewhere, the bike with 20” wheels long since donated to someone else’s kid. In it’s place sits a Menace, and the promise of new worlds to explore. The parents aren’t sure just what it is they’ve allowed in the door, but they may be having second thoughts about it. You promise them it’s going to be okay, and as you fall asleep, you think about the rock garden in the ravine next to the school, and you smile.
