Features
BrakesMechanical Disc Brakes
Mechanical discs operate much the same way as hydraulic, but are actuated by a traditional cable. While they don't offer quite the same power, they are less expensive to purchase and maintain.
CockpitLeather Grip/Saddle
The durability of leather far surpasses synthetic materials and will last longer for all those epic adventures.
DrivetrainReplaceable Chain Rings
Replaceable chain rings allow you to replace individual rings rather than having to replace an entire crankset.
Shimano Freehub
Having a brand name freehub body allows you to easily replace the mechanism that allows the wheel to turn with each pedal stroke. With non-branded freehubs, they're hard if not impossible to find resulting you to replace the entire hub or wheelset.
Triple Chainring
Three chainrings give you the largest gear spread to get you up those steepest hills.
ForkForward-Facing Dropouts
Safety first! Under braking conditions the wheel wants to rotate backwards, hence the forward-facing dropouts. The wheel is forced into the dropout, not out of it.
Frame4130 Cromo Tubing
Chromoly steel frames can be much stronger than aluminum. This is particularly important for street bikes, which are abused and crashed regularly. Also, the properties of steel give it a nicer, more supple ride than aluminum or carbon.
Butted Tubing
By thinning the walls of the frame tubing, you achieve lighter weight and better ride quality.
Full Rack and Fender Mounts
A full complement of specialized mounts allows for loading up your bike with all the necessary accessories for touring and commuting in comfort.
S-bend Seatstays
By carefully bending the seatstays, we are able to increase the ride quality of the bike. The curvy stays take a little bit of the sting out of road and trail imperfections.
Sloping Top Tube
A Brodie trademark, the sloping top tube gives more clearance in emergency situations.
Wheels29'er Wheels
Lightweight 29'er wheels give you a stronger wheel that stays true longer with fewer broken spokes.
Double Wall Rims
Double wall rims are essentially stronger, giving you a longer lasting and straighter wheel.
KORE Spokes
KORE brings reliable, lightweight spokes for a stronger wheel that stays true longer, with fewer broken spokes.
