Meet Roger
Age: Young at Heart
Resides: At Work
Skills: Commuting, Hockey
Ride: Tesla, Climbmax

Roger is owner and CEO of CyberSport. In the early nineties, Roger approached Paul Brodie with an idea to expand Brodie from the 4 models Paul was hand building here in Vancouver. Years later, Brodie has become one of Canada's premier bicycle companies with a limited worldwide distribution. Roger prides himself in his strength of communication, humility and his ability to care for and nurture his family, friends and staff. Oh, and not to mention how everyone thinks that Phil owns the Company. Turn-offs include long drawn out run-on sentences with too many words that should have been brief and to the point trying to explain a small little point that doesn't really matter to anyone from the beginning, corporate attitude, top buttons and riding to work. Turn-ons include riding to work, kicking tires, auto-magazines, hockey, Christmas and living vicariously through Bruce and Andrew’s personal escapades.

1. How long have you been working for Brodie?
Since I joined forces with Paul 16 years ago. Wow, how time flies.

2. What are you daily duties?
A-Z and everything in between. Every day is a new day, no two days are the same!

3. Favourite Brodie moment?
When big brand parts suppliers wanted their parts on our bikes.

4. Do you remember your first bike?
1965 J.C Higgins coaster cruiser in Austin Powers Gold

5. Is there one bike in the current lineup that you have a special fondness for?
Ocho- less is more!

6. Were you born in Vancouver? If not, where did the glorious moment take place?
YVR born and bred a long time ago.

7. Did you have a hero to look up to when you were growing up? If so, who was it?
Ken Dryden. Paul Henderson is a close second, I would have been crushed if he didn't score with seconds left in to beat the Russians in game 8 in 1972!

8. How would you describe your wardrobe?
I used to be a fashion plate, now I'm a fashion casualty. Too many other things to spend money on... vacations, dining out, family and of course hockey equipment.

9. Where were you Tuesday, July 30, 1996? hint: Olympic year.
Who knows- trying to sell a bike?

10. Do you have a favourite kind of music you listen to?
Motown, anything 70s & 80s. Stuck in a time warp.

11. If you could eat something every day, what would it be? (fave meal/style)
BBQ anything!!!

12. Cook at home or dine out?
Dine out- need the ethnic variety.

13. Do you Tweet?
No tweet, no Facebook, no text... living in the stone age & lovin' it. But, the pressure is on to get with reality or become a dinosaur.

14. Coffee or tea?
Tea, never got hooked on coffee. Especially the kind that takes 5 minutes to order.

15. Starbuck's or indie?
Anywhere they have Earl Grey.

16. Mac or PC?
Mac, ever since Mac started in 1984. Never owned or used a PC. Thanks, Phil.

17. Cell, iPhone or Blackberry?

Cell phone, as little as possible. You can run, but you can't hide... wish they were still the size of a military field radio and cost an arm and a leg. Then it wouldn't be a necessity or a fashion statement.

18. Road ride or trail ride?
Trail.

19. Derailleur, single speed or fixed gear?
Internal gear, I'm converted. Single speed if I was fit.

20. Slipons, laces or Velcro?
Slip-ons... laces never get done up except on skates. Yay flip flops!

21. Black lace or red?
Black lace or black laces? Both work!
