BrakesMechanical Disk Brakes
Mechanical disks operate much the same way as hydraulic, but are actuated by a traditional cable. While they don't offer quite the same power, they are less expensive to purchase and maintain.

DrivetrainClipless Pedals
Clipless pedals allow you to attach your feet to your bike like ski bindings, giving you much more power and control over your bike.
Eccentric Bottom Bracket
By borrowing a little technology from tandems, we can use internally geared hubs with standard dropouts for user friendly wheel changes. The eccentric bottom bracket is also useful for tensioning the chain on single speeds, and avoids wheel slip.

By tucking all the gears INTO the hub, we eliminate the fragile drivetrain components that dangle from the frame. This makes for a durable, virtually maintenance free drivetrain. An added benefit is the ability to shift at a standstill, without pedalling.
