Falling In Love; The Brodie Drifter

Forearm surgery that made riding the cross bike uncomfortable meant I needed a new ride. There was a sample 2010 Drifter in my size sitting boxed in the warehouse so it was unpacked, wrenched into a riding state and not soon enough, I was back in the saddle. Not to mention falling in love.

I’m Seeing b-Team Red!

Well the boys at Secret Cycles are at it again!  After supplying them with a beautifully agile, curvaceous, sleek, light Romax b-Team frame, they went to town turning it into a high-zoot, super-cool ride.  The high-gloss, cherry-red Scandium frame is normally dressed as a cyclocross rig with a drop handlebar.

HST on Bicycles? NO THANKS!

If you live in a province (sign the petition) that is planning to adopt the new Harmonized Sales Tax (HST), it means you (sign the petition) will be paying a lot more tax on many everyday items in your life.  When you purchase a new bike in British Columbia you are currently taxed 5% (GST).  If bicycles aren’t exempt from HST, you could be paying 12%! Lest We Forget – A Memorial Mountain Bike Ride

Since approximately 1992, mountain bikers have gathered at the base of Mount Fromme to share their respect of and sympathy for the fallen armed forces and civilians from times of war, aka: Remembrance Day. Every November 11th in North Vancouver they do this by meeting for a coffee and a snack before heading off into the dense, damp, wooded slopes and technical singletrack bike trails of the North Shore.
